Children who once studied under a tree now have desks, a whiteboard, toilets, a water pump and a covered veranda — at Village Haji Faqeer Muhammad Brohi.
Before the school was built, lessons happened in the open air in all weathers, with nowhere to sit except the floor, bricks or a rope bed. Today the children of the village have a proper school: desks and chairs, a whiteboard, proper toilets, clean water, and an enclosed boundary wall for safety.
We pay the teacher and provide books and uniforms, so that no child — especially no girl — is left out for the cost of learning.
